Short Transfer Time – 3 hour drives up into the mountains aren’t ideal with little ones let’s be honest. The apartment is just over an hour from Geneva International Airport.
Direct Access to Slopes – Traipsing through town or getting on the ski bus with the little ones again can be challenging! We are located at the very bottom of the Evette’s Chairlift and the green runs down into the apartment are also served by 2 button lifts.
Child Friendly Skiing – We want to watch the children learn and enjoy their skiing in a safe and uncrowded environment – Flumet and the Espace Diadment ski area is ideal with nearly 200 km of piste that are rarely busy.
Space – The average French ski apartment is very small. We have over 58 square meters of floor space incorporating 2 bedrooms, a large open plan kitchen/diner, living room, and a large south facing balcony overlooking the mountains.
Other Entertainment – There’s more than just skiing to enjoy. You have free access to our onsite swimming pool and Jacuzzi or you can simply chill out back in the apartment where you will find a selection of books, dvd’s, board games and boxes of toys suitable from babies and upward. Wi-Fi is also available
The apartment itself has over 58 square meters incorporating the following: Large open plan Kitchen/Diner/Living Room with large corner balcony, Bedroom One (Double bed sleeps 2), Bedroom Two (Bunk bed sleeps 2 and further pull out for small child), Main Bathroom & Entrance/Hall with plenty of storage. The living room features a sofa bed so can sleep an additional 2 people. There is a travel cot and potty for babies. The large south west facing balcony is equipped with table and chairs. In addition there is a ski locker and car parking space for your use.
The ski area of Espace Diamant combines rustic charm with the superb facilities of a 21st century ski resort, set against the imposing backdrop of Western Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc. One of the French Alps’ newest ski areas, Espace Diamant opened in 2005 to join five established resorts (Notre dame de Bellecombe, Crest Voland, Les Saisies, Praz sur Arly and Flumet) into 185km of interlinked slopes. Modern and well-designed lift systems mean access around the area is easy and allows you to get the most out of your week.
The skiing ranges from long wide tree-lined runs on the lower slopes to some epic powder bowls and steep black runs higher up. Variety is king here, with each of the original five resorts having its own character in addition to its own beginner’s area.
Espace Diamant enjoys several benefits to more established Alpine resorts – quieter slopes and a more personal, friendly feel and service. It also makes it a great place for beginner skiers, as there is more time and space to learn in an uncrowded, fun environment.
