Terraced farm typical of 1875 in low of village in peace with view on the Margeride, located between Cantal and Lozère. The farmhouse was completely renovated in 2008 and is spread over three floors. It is surrounded by other typical farms, fields and woods.
From the house one can enjoy several easy steps through meadow and wood, as well as meadow for sunbathing! It is a base of comfort to enjoy all local activities: walking, tennis, skiing, mountain biking, horse riding, lake (swimming and boating), swimming in the river, swimming pools, paragliding, canoeing, fishing, mushrooms.
Description of the gîte
The ground floor is a large living room consisting of the old common room (with the cantou) and stable. Today is the living room, the dining room, and the open kitchen.
There are three large bedrooms, with independent bathroom and toilet. The first floor bedroom is original and the other two are in the old barn part. The interior renovation is all pine, keeping the original appearance of the farm.
The inner courtyard, with the bread oven, is located full south accessible from the kitchen and from the living room of the first floor, one reaches the meadow, totally clear view on the Margeride.
Location
The farm is easy to access and is located 10 minutes from the medieval town of Malzieu, Saint Chely Apcher, and five minutes from La Garde (bakery, bar / tabac, and grocery store), and is at the doors Aubrac and Margeride.
All activities are less than 30 minutes except skiing and paragliding where it takes 50 and 40 minutes respectively. You can enjoy a great choice of regional and starry cuisine also within 30 minutes.

The setting of the cottage is ideal for a rest holiday (reading and local gastronomy) or activities for adults and children.
Several walks and mountain bike trails are possible from the cottage. Hiking maps are available at the cottage and it is possible to rent mountain bikes in Saint Chely d'Apcher. There is a tennis court on the edge of the village.

The two nearest water bodies are Lac du Moulinet and Lac de Garabit, both of which offer water activities. The closest river baths are on the Tuyère.
